This is the way I like my Fairie Tales. They should be dark and have teeth like they were intended.
Not everything should be for the kiddies.
The web page for the movie is worth checking out as well.

The Avengers is OMG GREAT. Joss Whedon has Knocked it out of the park. BUT WAIT…another hero is just around the corner and this one has my early geek life wrapped up in it. I cannot wait. Enjoy this Amazing Spiderman extended trailer.

Our BEST DAY at the BEACH….so far.
During the Winter months I was living in near Austin and had time to take many walks along Brushy Creek in Round Rock. These are a few of the photos from those outings.
A photo/video collection of my daily walks on the back roads of Texas.
Ralph McQuarrie’s artwork was on my wall as a teenager, along with obligatory Farah Fawcett (the hot one in the red bathing suit), Linda Carter as Wonder Woman and lots of comic book heroes. But it was McQuarrie’s wonderful paintings of the Star Wars universe that always added some class to the place.
The world he created was a awesome place full of villains and heroes. Places that seemed possible but far far away. The world that George Lucas and ILM brought to life.
The legend is that Lucas was having a real hard time getting the Hollywood studios to understand his vision. That all stopped the day he walked into 20th Century Fox with McQuarrie’s art under his arm. The rest is history.
Thank you Mr. McQuarrie.

If you have the time and want a good overview of the “Founding Documents” of the United States then Hillsdale College has a series of lectures online that does a pretty good job. These are not master pieces of cinema full of CGI and explosions but Dr. Larry Arnn does a good job.
Check it out:

“One thing that we have learned is that piracy is not a pricing issue. It’s a service issue. The easiest way to stop piracy is not by putting antipiracy technology to work. It’s by giving those people a service that’s better than what they’re receiving from the pirates.”
